Dads Very First Family Portrait

This is for my next class at Sheoak Craft Cottage.
Again using Pion and Twiddleybitz. ;-)
(hmmm.. it looks like it is on a bit of a lean doesn't it.??)

I have been very busy lately with work and with doing a few projects for Twiddleybitz for display at the Scrapbook Expo in Brisbane.
WHICH I AM GOING TO!
I truly feel very very lucky.. and starting to feel very excited to Finally meet a lot of online friends
in the flesh, so to speak.
So if you are going to the Expo please pop by the Twiddleybitz booth and say hello!!
And as always, thanks for popping by my blog
and a big thank you to all of those that have taken the time to leave a comment.

So Many Mixed Emotions.

|
This photo is particularly special to me, as the journalling shows.
It is amazing how much a particular photo can mean to you, the memories they hold and the feelings they evoke.

And even though there is a lot of journalling there, it still doesn't express all of the feelings I feel.

I suppose, sometimes, the journalling just gives you a bit of a kickstart down memory lane and to also help re- evaluate what is really important in life  :-)

(Love you Jo. xx)
and I am in love with Pion Papers!
:-)
I used their Studio of Memories range for my layout ( and of course Twiddleybitz...such a fantastic combination. )...and I can't wait to get busy and create some more with it. So beautiful.
And please note!!!
If you are heading to the Escape2Create retreat next weekend....The Sheoak Craft cottage will have the complete Studio of Memories paper range available for you to purchase!

thanks for stopping by :-)

She Must be Something Special

This is for the Scrap Sanity Early Bird Challenge of the
"Creative Colour Spectacular Cybercrop"
It looks like a LOT of fun.
Click HERE to head over to the Scrap Sanity site, and then click on Challenges in the menu bar.
Hope to see you there!

And ofcourse I have used a few Twiddleybitz pieces on my layout.
LOVE the frame which I coloured using Crafty Notions Colour spray.
(and also managed to add some unwanted colour to my lounge chair too....oops. Scrapping in the loungeroom might not of been a good idea. ;-)

Thanks for stopping by.

Finally a UFO finished!!

A little while ago I created this Twiddleybitz Treasure Box.

And with the help of an April Twiddleybitz  Challenge I have completed it!
The challenge is to watch this video and create something which has been inspired by the video.
(love these kind of challenges...they really make you think a little ;-)  )

and the link if the embedding doesn't work
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-Ve1pGnPQjU

I was inspired by the birds flying and the kids playing on the beach.
:-)

And with the help of this inspiration, I completed my treasure chest!

sorry for the terrible photo.
:-(

So if you were inspired by the video, why not grab your Twiddleybitz and come and join us??
There are some other great challenges as well.
:-)
Thanks for stopping by.

Remember

Using the Prima Printery Collection Kit from
Scrap Sanity
very yum. :-)
Whenever I see this photo it reminds me why I scrap these old photos.
DH and his cousin were looking at it trying to work out who each of the children were.
I knew who they were because DH's mother had already told me.
But I couldn't believe that these two men didn't know who was who.
And it got me thinking....if THEY didn't know who they were, and they know, or have known, them, what chance do my children and their children have?
Without names, it would just be another old photo with no story.
Which is why I feel the need to atleast put names on my vintage layouts, I might not know their story, but I atleast try to document their names.

Thanks for stopping by.

Limited Edition

This is for my class at the Sheoak Craft Cottage.
I love how Georgia Keays uses black matting in her layouts, and I thought I would use it as inspiration for the class.
Using Kaisercraft papers and ofcourse.....Twiddleybitz!! lol
Should be a fun  class :-)

Thanks for stopping by.

Catherine. Twiddleybitz Scrap My Photo Competition.

Recently Twiddleybitz held a Scrap My Photo Competition
where members were invited to upload their photos and 10 random winners were drawn
and 10 of  the Twiddleybitz Design Team would scrap  their  photos.
Gypsylcm was one of the winners and I was the lucky DT member who got to create with the beautiful photo of her Nana, Catherine.
I have tucked a blank journalling tag behind the photo so Gypsy could fill in any extra details about Catherine or the photo.

I must admit to feeling quite nervous scrapping for someone else. :-)

thanks for stopping by.
